Church and Community Links
We have strong links with our local Methodist Church, West Wakefield Methodist Church. Reverend Andrew, our school chaplain leads a weekly whole school worship.
We regularly visit West Wakefield Methodist Church and St James Church which is positioned near to the school. We hold celebrations in Church such as our Christmas Carol Concert, Christingle and our Easter service. We also use the Church when teaching elements of Christianity in RE, for instance about Baptism and Holy buildings.
We are very proud to be an ‘All We Can’ partner School because it takes our vision and values one step further to ensure children see how our vision and values are vital in the wider world and hopefully they will live by our values for the rest of their lives. As a school we recognise that we have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of others.
We regularly prayer for people in our local community and the wider world. One example is when we sent messages and prayers to a community in Zimbabwe and raised money for them to purchase chickens.
